DIY: Fall Decor

Out with the old, and in with the new. It’s finally time to ditch the summer themed decor and load up on pumpkin scented everything. I’m going to show you how to do two super cute, easy, and cheap decorations you can make at home! You can get most of the supplies at any craft store! Here’s what you will need:

DIY 1:

Mini pumpkins

Mod Podge

For the first DIY, make sure you work outside or put down newspaper to ensure an easy clean up. Now you can think of the designs you would want to create! You can paint the whole pumpkin, add glitter, embellishments and so much more. There are endless options you can chose from. I added studs and put glitter up the stem of my white pumpkin. For the others, I simply added stripes of paint or glitter. Now just wait for them to dry! When they are completed, you can put them on your desk or windowsill.

DIY 2:

Wooden plaque

Chalkboard paint

For the next DIY, you will need a wooden board which you can get at any craft store. The chalkboard paint was only $1 from Target’s dollar spot. With the brush, paint the board two coats of the chalkboard paint. Wait for it to dry and you have a cute decoration that you can hang up on your door! I like to use Command strips and hooks to hang all of my decorations.
